Chapter one has been good for a few chuckles, but I was expecting a lighter, funnier tone. Instead I’m finding it negative and a bit derogatory toward (paraphrasing) ‘all those poor, inexperienced, bad writers who don’t realize how bad they are.’ So far: Meh. Know your audience. Are you trying to genuinely help new writers or deride them? I’m not sure this book knows yet what it wants to be.
