How are you liking this so far? I haven't read Tigana in years but I remember it as being beautifully written.

Gah! This was my favorite book for YEARS! Now I recommend it to anyone about to embark on the Game of Thrones books. It's like stretching before the marathon.
Good so far. The bit with the Others in the middle felt throwaway to me, but otherwise great. :)
