One Blonde and One Dark Hair
I recently noticed that my favorite couples from TV share similar characteristic: one (shorter) blonde and the other has dark hair.

But, those 'couples' are characters in stories. Another couple actually consists of real people who have a real friendship (in fact, childhood friendship developed well into adulthood). They may not be known in the US, but in UK they are very popular and loved. And yes, they do love each other.
