There were so many amazing poems in this chapbook. My main wish is that it was longer or had more poems. I bought this book for the poem “Zuko’s Ode” and “I Have a Crush On Shego”specifically, but I also enjoyed the other poems in here. … and identity in the midst of a less than perfect life. I’d say after it all “Refraction/Mulan” takes the cake for best written poem for its dual meaning, style of writing, and overall goodness of poem. I literally read it 6 different times because no matter which order you read it, it still has different meanings and flows together perfectly. 12/10 poem.
