I enjoyed reading this! I love folklore and tales from other countries. Sounder's writing is enchanting and reminds me of the old morality stories of the United States, such as Brer Rabbit, Aesop's Fables, and other children's fairy tale classics.

I was first attracted to the colorful book jacket as I was perusing the new and on-order books at our local library. I have only recently delved into books and movies set in India, and written by authors from India, Sri Lanka, and other nearby countries. These short stories are similar to our American folklore stories.
