Not sure I’d try something that is sopping wet from being in the rain AND in the sea but I guess the moral of Green Eggs and Ham is you may *think* you don’t like something but if you don’t try it, you’ll never know….

Pretty sure this is one of the few Dr Seuss stories I did actually read as a child!

I didn’t know if the Mike Myers movie ever took anything from The Cat in the Hat Comes Back…

This was basically just a funny way to read the alphabet so I don’t think so… although, I do remember something about a tub and a dress… 🤷

Once again the boy went unnamed!

Again, I grew up watching a movie of The Cat in the Hat (though, I haven’t watched that one quite as much as The Grinch).

Interestingly, the boy is never named!

Something I’ve noticed and appreciate is whenever there’s some sort of device, the movies did their best to make it look very similar (the sleigh in The Grinch and the ‘pickup’ machine from this one).

This is not the first story but I started with How the Grinch Stole Christmas! because, well… It's that time of the year!

I grew up with the Jim Carrey movie so this story wasn’t exactly new.
The only thing that was surprising was Cindy-Lou Who was only 2 years old!

I read this at loud to my dogs and they both fell asleep so… they liked it?

Unfortunately, I’m ending this year positive for COVID-19. (I’m having very mild symptoms so far! *smiley face*)
So as I’m in isolation, I figured I should read as much as I could, starting with this!

5 days left of the year, 5 stories; sounds perfect!
