This book connects beautifully back to previous mentions in the story - it all flows together and adds up as you go through, which helps make it a very well connected and cohesive story

There are constant visual descriptions to serve as reminders of the characters we’re reading about - this isn’t something I’ve seen done so thoroughly before and really helps continue vivid imagery throughout each scene

There’s an incredible description of dissociation in regards to upcoming physical abuse. The way Piper puts it in to words makes more sense than any way I’ve been able to describe my personal experiences.
