Ugh... SHOW...DONT TELL!!! I'm fighting to keep reading this book because I want to know what will happen, but the way it's written is killing me. There's so little dialogue, and so much inner monologue and info dump that i'm getting annoyed.

The entire beginning of this book is so much “telling” not “showing” that I want to just give up. I’m trying to hold on for dialogue or to see if it gets better, but I’m quickly nearing dnf territory
