Daya’s officially a part of the Killa Honeys which I think will be really good for her. I don’t like that she’s lying about her age to someone that could be a potential love interest and I also don’t like the way she’s treating Shanti. Daya can be really mean at times especially when people are just trying to help. Like the gym she was given, it could have been responded to in a different way.

I change my mind, Daya's ok in my book. She's really grown after actually talking about her feelings and I'm glad her place on the team is safe. Although it's going to take some time for some honeys to warm up to her I'm glad she's redeemed herself. Also super happy that she's more comfortable with Priam and Vicky. It was all in all a good book, you just wouldn't know it at first.

So far I'm at the part where Daya's done her second roller derby tryouts. It's a bit hard to root for a character like her because she's so mean to people, especially Shanti. I still have an inkling of okness towards her and I do hope she makes the team. I also hope that Daya realizes her feelings towards Shanti are ok. I think they'd make a good couple. I do think she should be a tad bit nicer to her Aunt and Uncle.

So far I’ve gotten some backstory on most of the characters. I know Daya lost her family but she could be a little more appreciative of her uncle and aunt. Her family seemed like the stereotypical brown family, which is understandable as some stereotypes are definitely true from personal experience. It’s really interesting to read about how she feels about her pain. Will probably get farther in the book later.
