Long intended to start reading the classic the films were based on. So far pretty much as I had expected. Very much has the different flavor and imagery I expect from a book. I hadn't realized it was written before the dustbowl (1900). Dorothy's behaviour seems much more normal coming from an actual small child. I just wish this version were illustrated.
