Frances Drake was a very selfish man. At first he was a hero for England (and a villain for Spain). He got money for the Queen and England by attacking and robbing Spanish crews. He was also a slave trader. Later when England realized that Francis was only attacking the Spanish for money and not to serve his country he lost his reputation.
