Wedding Superstitions: A flower from the bouquet acquired before the ceremony is good luck. It's good luck to marry under sunshine - this one is opposite to what I heard growing up in PA, it was lucky to have rain on your wedding day in PA. It's unlucky for anyone to wear green at a wedding.
Death Superstitions: Suicide ropes are as lucky as hangman's ropes. A pillow filled with pigeon feathers prevents death.

Superstitions about babies this time: It's bad luck for a woman to sit in a chair recently vacated by a pregnant woman or to sit or lie in a bed where a baby was born. It is fine to create a teething necklace out of coral or nightshade?! Unbaptized babies are at risk of witchcraft, fae magic, and demons.

New superstitions learned tonight: You are not supposed to take your Christmas decorations (greenery) down until Candlemas eve. On the first of the month you are supposed to say rabbits (white) or hares and at least 3 times. Especially good luck if the last person to speak the evening before the 1st of the month is the one who says rabbits. Some housebreakers considered Friday to be an unlucky day to do a break in.
