This is so strange. I was just opening up goodreads to add this specific book after seeing someone recommend it on tumblr, and here it is at the top of my Recent Updates!

it's a really odd book. well worth reading because it's so unusual, and there's a running bird motif which is very beautiful, but after quite enjoying 'loving', 'living' just wasn't my cup of tea at all. my real reason for buying it at all was 'party going', which is supposed to be a brilliant representation of the bright young people, so hoping i get more out of that.
