So far:
Memory as a product meant to be remembered.
Memory as a process of remembering.
The past cannot be re-experienced as it would lack the present, experience is a specific act of being present.

Memory and meaning come from interpreting what we conceive as the past. The act of memory as a process is dictated by social, cultural, religious, and personal factors. All these meant to help build a sense of identity.
