are you noticing different things on a second readthrough?

My feelings towards some of the characters are a bit different, because I know them better and how they will end up. I much prefer Zoe on this re-read, though she doesn't appear much in this book.

Zoe does change a lot, although as I think I mentioned in the buddy reads thread, I did feel for her youth. Is it very boring to say that Rupert should have got a more age appropriate wife for himself and his children? :)

Ha ha. Well, I'm sure he should have, but I can see why he might have wanted a young, pretty wife.
