Sadly the latter. It's not a bad read but it could have benefited from more editting to make it less draggy in parts.

Have you read the Six Crimson Cranes? It's got a very pretty cover and similar vibes to this one but overall I preferred that one.

No i haven’t! I’ve heard a lot about it, though. (And may have already drooled over the cover a few times..)

I enjoyed it! I think the second book is coming out in the later half of the year so maybe hold off and read them both at the same time ☺️
