What about the *minister* who reads scripture so solaciously and kisses his wife full on the mouth at the breakfast table? Who is Susannah who says she's the Tremaine heiress, although Richard's darn sure she isn't his sister?

This is what kills me about a lot of romance out there --- the lust at any cost, including your life moments.

I know. It doesn't help matter much when it's a male author doing the sex writing.
Yes it was. This is starting come off more of a historical thriller type than a straight novel and since the author IS male, the sex is popping in on the male-fantasy side of things.Without spoiling and going into details, after an escape from near death via drowning - who is going to have nothing but doing it right away on his mind? Especially as there's three in that crowd.
