I’m not going to make myself finish this, even though Marquez was a darling of the critics and a Nobel prize-winning author. I gave it a good try; I read 135/417 pages. But what’s the point if it’s a chore? Maybe I haven’t enough imagination, or am enough of a “dreamer” as one reviewer stated, but this book just seems like a disjointed, random, nonsensical mess with no real story or purpose. Enough!
