Revisiting this book only made me realise how much I actually sympathise with Connell as well as applying Marriane’s life to what mine will most likely look like at university. I think the stage in my life I was at when I first read it (the start of last year) was a completely different stage to present me. Therefore the books relevance to me now is already making it a more enjoyable read the 2nd time.
