This has to be the weakest of the numerous Piers Anthony books that I have read so far, but that doesn't mean it is bad at all. This is an earlier work of his and I think he found more of his strength later in fantasy as opposed to science fiction. This is a very grisly novel though. It goes into great detail about rape, murder, child molestation, it even touches briefly on bestiary. Primarily though, this novel conc
