due for a masquerade reread i think. having so much fun with just the first few pages but i almost want to stop so i can leave baru happy and seven years old forever. the most adorable baby accountant in the world is about to have such a rough life. 😔😔😔

this is just so not my novel (palace intrigue bereft of any toothsome dialogue or character work) and it's kind of a slog but i don't think i'll dnf. at the best of times, i can almost glimpse a sapphic captive prince hidden in the marble...
