That the climate crisis is termed "anthropogenic" is, for Wynter, a problem. This label infers that the crisis is caused by "generically human activities" rather than driven by the particular interests of a particular subset of humans - those who accumulate capital for themselves on a global scale and don't give a damn about the environmental consequences.
