Marissa’s Reviews > A Gathering of Shadows > Status Update

Right out the gate this book is so much more exciting than it’s predecessor. The character building in “a darker shade of magic” was slow and painful, but now that we know who we are dealing with we revisit them like old friends. I struggled through the first half of ‘darker’ but having come this far I will tell you it’s worth it. Power through.
