I'm so torn, the actual act of reading this is not enjoyable; but it's also the most challenging book I've ever read. It's stylistically and narratively complex in an infuriating way. The conversations and analysis I've engaged in have been so stimulating. I am learning a lot from this experience, but it's also a racist decadence story that's hard to stomach. Do not read this for fun.
