I'm terrible because I don't care about the drama surrounded around this novel.
This shit is mad interested.
However, this is labeled as a fiction/coming of age story. If the author was Black, this shit would be in urban fiction.
That's the only conversation I want to talk about. People say that it uses AAVE. It's a stretch for me. The choppy sentences and popular slang does not equal AAVE.
