I have read many stories of Holocaust survivors and this story is most incredible. The book also includes many photos. Alex Kurzem tells the story of his survival who as a little boy hid in the forest for months in the winter and was found and made a corporal by a Latvian Police Battalion that was transformed into a SS Legion. For 50 years, Alex didn't speak of his past and the horror he witnessed and endured.
