Percy Jackson's motivation in sea of Monsters is called role function motivation for a couple of reasons one of which the secondary character rover has his life in danger and Percy's motivation to protect him leads him on his journey. Another reason is that the Antagonist Luke is working against him to ruin his quest so that gives him motivation to stop him.

My story Archetype is the hero because he is trying to bring justice which goes through a series of thrilling events and the antagonists in this story which are evil and trying to stop him are Luke and his crew the sea of monsters and the demigod son of Hermes.

The tone of Percy Jackson is more light heated and humorous for example at the beginning of the book the challenge to get the flag was on and Percy lost the battle so he wasn't the most noble warrior in he camp so he made a sarcastic joke about him losing and wasn't terribly made for giving up winning by saving his rivalry in the game but it was the noble thing to do.
