I'm up to the beginning of ch. 24, approaching the place where other reviews say the book improves. But I am REALLY struggling—enjoying neither the story nor the narration. I'm going to set it aside for a while. I'm not DNFing it yet. I'll give it another go. But I need a break.

I gotta be honest. I'm loving neither the story nor the narration. Not hating it, just not loving it either.
