"Schenectady" by Adam O'Fallon Price was definitely not my cup of tea. I don't enjoy reading about a drug addict who is a professional educator interacting with adolescent students. I might try his writing in a different story line.

"Visitors Welcome" by Thomas Pierce was humorous and yet philosophical. Definitely thought-provoking on many levels.

Jam Calder's "Good Progress" was quite complex and well written. An alcoholic who obviously isn't a good communicator trying to deal with his mother's fatal illness and a partner... Some of us appear to simply be "lost" in this world at times...

"Providence" by Sara Majka was a 'slice of life' very short story dealing with stepchildren, etc.

Te-Ping Chen's "Field Notes on a Marriage" was rather bleak. It did a good job of representing how little we really know each other sometimes even after a couple years of marriage, perhaps especially if we are from different cultures/societies.

OMG! So glad I just finished reading The Code Breaker: Jennifer Doudna, Gene Editing, and the Future of the Human Race last month, otherwise, I might not have believed some of these observations and definitions. We may believe we are not yet living in an age of transhumanism or post-humanism, but we are... I, myself, am bionic with "titanium sports model" knee joint implants without which I would be immobile.

"Longshore Drift" by Julia Armfield was okay. A bit strange. Seemingly, Min and Alice had little to nothing in common but they're together constantly. As Min basically lives at Alice's and Alice drives Min's uncle's ice-cream truck since he can't...

"Quantum Displacement" was okay. A poem by Nuar Alsadir was okay. I'm not a huge fan of poetry overall...

Just finished Amor Towles' "The Line" and wish it had a bit more satisfying ending, though I'm convinced I would love reading just about anything he writes!!

Uh, the first story, The Spread by Ben Lerner, uh, uh... I guess I didn't get it...
