“I wish I could have spared you this. I never wanted to turn you against your will, Mira.” He pressed his forehead to hers, his hand now holding her cheek. She relished in the warmth of it against her skin.  “I know.” She smiled. “I know you wouldn’t ever hurt me. But, uh, does this mean I gotta call you ‘master’ now?” Vincent gave her a half-lidded look. “Only in the bedroom, and only if you wish to play.”

Vincent outstretched his hand to her even knowing it was hopeless. She’d never recognize him as he was now, and even if she could, if he could somehow tell her who he was, she’d still run from him. He must look like a nightmare come to life. Grotesque and harrowing, with the blood of the ones he’d devoured covering him. She’d finally know exactly how monstrous he could be.  

“Did you like the black one with the lace?” He grinned. She smacked his arm, the same one she currently held. “You sent that? You’re awful! I’ll have you know I didn’t even try it on, I sent it right back.”“Hm. Doesn’t matter, I’ve got a good imagination.” Heat crept up her face. “Stop imagining it!”“No. If I wish, I can envision you as you were last night, legs spread out, moaning my name, your pretty tits bouncing

She cried out his name, listening to her screams of unabashed joy echo back at her. Vincent didn’t stop. He sucked at her clit, devouring her with his mouth and that masterful tongue, as his fingers plunged into her sheath. Her belly tightened, contractions of pleasure seizing her. Mira trembled, the sensations building up anew, carrying her to greater heights. Her eyes squeezed shut as she went flying.😁

The would-be kidnapper, realizing his gun had no effect, ran for the door. Vincent knocked him down with a massive hand and held him down by his throat. “You live only by Mira’s mercy,” he said, his voice rough and grating in this form. “Tell your master what it is that protects her.” He grinned, showing off long fangs. The man started crying as he stuttered a prayer.

Claws sprang from his fingers. Long and lethal, extending from hands that got bigger to accommodate them. Vampires were the monsters of nightmares for a reason. Modern human legends made them out to be handsome, seductive things. Certainly, his human form helped him attract his prey. But his true, vampiric form, his Umbra, was a body designed for battle, and not a thing of beauty. Turned vampiric, he inspired horror.

“I lost control,” he whispered, his voice so low she barely caught the words. “I have lived centuries without once losing control….” He sounded shocked, like even he couldn’t believe the words he was saying, but she didn’t get it at all. He turned to face her.  Mira flinched back, her hand a fist against her heart, staring open-mouthed at him. His eyes glowed blood-red. Clearly, frighteningly inhuman.

He liked hearing his name said with such desperation. He thrust his two fingers into her, faster, harder, filling her then emptying her again, as he circled his thumb against her little pink nub. She bucked against him, impaling herself deeper, and trembled as she came on his hand. His eyes widened and his nostrils flared. The sight of her and the scent of her entranced him.

She put her hand over his mouth before he could swoop down, and he raised a brow in question. “You said there are cameras everywhere.”  Vincent grabbed her wrist and pulled her hand away, then kissed her. Hard.

Vincent turned a corner, rounding into the more affluent part of the city. “I keep the peace between monsters. Not the ones of your society, but my own. If one hopes to keep monsters under control, one must be the biggest monster of them all. Or — at least act like one.” He winked at her.
