I will in a few weeks be flying to Germany to visit my husband and need a book suggestion. As in a paperback book suggestion. As far as I'm aware electronic devices are still not permitted on international flights so what paperback do you recommend is worth purchasing?

On my flight to Korea I wasn't allowed to turn on any electronic devices and my boss told the it was the same way with her flight to Ireland. I wonder if it depends on the company?

M. Jess you can totally use electronic devices lol. Just not when the fasten your seatbelt light is on. Which is only during take-off and landing.

M. Oh and if you take your phone with you, you need to turn on the "airplane mode".

I knew this, I wouldn't want to deal with the data roaming charges.

M. You can just turn your data roaming off when you're in Germany, but inside the plane you need the airplane mode so it doesn't send out any signals that could interfere with the plane

No I'll actually just leave it in airplane mode for the entire time I'm in Germany. That's how Eric has his phone now.

Rachel L I found this on United Airlines website, I hope it helps.
"Between the U.S. and an international location, customers may use permitted devices except when departing from or arriving into the international location.
Outside of the U.S., permitted devices may only be used above 10,000 feet."

As for a paperback recommendation, the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost if you like PNR.
Have a great flight/trip!

Ⓐlleskelle - That ranting lady ッ I know in Europe you don't have to turn off your electronic device ( mobile phone, tablet...) on take off and landing anymore. It used to be the case, but not since a few months back.
Hope this helps.
Bon voyage!
;)

M. I never turned them off anyway lol.
