This was such a perfect friends to lovers, both characters were deeply flawed people but they were perfect for eachother. This was very deep and dove into some very serious issues from addiction/alcoholism, rehab, infidelity, dysfunctional relationship's and trauma.
Charlie and Max had many boundaries/obstacles to overcome on their path from friendship and eventually lovers. This was somewhat of a slow burn.
