"In fact, many of the stories in the Bible violate basic tenets of courtship. For instance, the very first thing Jacob does when he sees Rachel is to run up and kiss her (Genesis 29:11). I don’t think many courtship communities would approve of that kind of physical contact. They didn’t save their first kiss for the altar. Gasp!"

To be fair, they were cousins, but this still made me laugh. xD

The law is like the moon: It’s not a source of light. It’s only a reflection of the light. The moon is much smaller than the sun, yet if it gets in the way, it can block the sun’s light and cast the world into darkness.
