I received this ARC in a give away. This is my first read on this subject, and I had a hard time getting through the prologue, which I found confusing. I was not doing much better with Chapter 1 or 2, but at Chapter Three the story takes off and is an great read! The characters are wonderful, especially Derry Brewer, the Duke of York ( and his wife), and Margaret. I will be definitely reading more Conn Iggulden.
