wowie, this book is so heart-wrenching and it makes me so sad to see that these kids- who have no idea what's the problem between their families- have to live separately from each other.

not only that, Peter has to deal with mental, and physical abuse (from the looks of it). Kate doesn't really get abused so far- just smacked once or twice.

still, this book hits differently, and i'm loving it.
