As the Autobots, Sarah Conner and the T-800 set their marks on finding the Decepticons, the Decepticons make it to Cyberdyne Systems manufacturing plant to gain the most energon that they can as well as exterminate the human race. They make it and a war ensutes. The T-800 sets a bomb on a Decepticn that was also in the Ark, resulting in the rest of the Autobots on the ark to perish.

Sarah inadvertedly revived Optimus and Bumblebee, so now Optimus fights back against the Decepticons as they retreat. Then they find the t-800 as it tries to end Optimus before Sarah ends the confrontation to figure out what in the world is going on. Then the t-800 explains how in the future, the cybertronians wiped out all of mankind and how Skynet was their only means of protection.

As the T-1000 takes the clothes of a truck driver, it takes Sarah Conner to direct it to Mount Saint Hillary to find the Ark with the decepticons have beaten the Autobots. The T-1000 sets its targets on the Decepticons to terminate them all, giving Sarah the chance to escape (Though being chased by ravage) as the Decepticons fight back against the T-1000

Book starts off like the movie but with the t-1000 arriving at the Skynet Omega base, being the last stronghold of the resistance. As the t-1000 is about to make its departure to an unknown time in the past, Decepticons make it to the base and raid it as Starscream makes it to the t-1000 as we see what its objective is; Terminate the Cybertronian threat. Just like that, the t-1000 makes it to LA in 1984
