I'm having the same problem with this book that others are having. It's not steampunk. The Lovecraftian part I don't mind. It's an interesting idea, just having a Cthulhu cult chasing the heroine around. It's the lack of steampunk (it's really dieselpunk with some clockwork thrown in) and what I think are unintentional anachronisms that are throwing me for a loop.
