Um. This is just getting silly. Someone comes and gathers up all the 'wishes' whenever the weather turns (ie it rains etc) and catalogues them to keep them safe!!!??

I'm a little confused here. This book was published in 2022. There is nothing (so far as I can tell) to place the story at an earlier time - say, 2008 etc) yet when Sophie (aged 17) is looking for a book to read, the daughter of the bookshop asks if she has read Twilight.
Come on. that was written in 2005! ANY fierce reader would ask about a more recent up-to-date book! it just didn't ring true.
