I love Amy Harmon as well. This is one of those books that are hard to read..so sad and upsetting. Yet I believe we must never forget the evil that was brought down upon people like Ava. I have also read "What the Wind Knows", "Where the Lost Wander" and "The Songbook of Benny Lament". Loved them all...

Oh my god, Kathie. I agree. It is definitely sad. What the Wind knows by her is my favourite book. I shed a tear everytime I think about it 😂

Yes, I too loved it. But right now I am very anxious about Ava and Angelo. I am only 20 % in and things sre not looking good. I am listening to audio and narrator is very good. Ava's uncle has just shot himself..so sad.
