wow, i absolutely love how it’s about a female in a male-dominated society at the time this book was written in, and i love how she realizes the sexism in marrying because you’ll have to have a husband that “expects a big dinner made, and you go again washing dishes in your nightgown and foam curlers in your hair, until you fall into the bed, exhausted” (bell jar). (idk the quote word by word, but you get it)
