Abandoned this book after 23 chapters. The writing style really didn't appeal at all, even though i have a suspicion that there is a good story tangled up in there somewhere. It was like reading a diary of someone that you have little interest in, and awaiting the arrival of some excitement. I'm going to try the egyptian books by this author in the hope that the style is more to my liking
