I expected the historic references to the Osage murders, but the contemporary relevance is hard is hard to miss.

Wouldn't recommend this one on the writing. The prose isn't particularly evocative or artistic, but the subject matter is another story.

There is a lot going on in this piece and I like how Holm approaches the varied social experiences of his multicultural cast.

It's been a busy morning and I'm making slow progress, but I'm enjoying these early pages.

Writing is straightforward and easy to follow which is nice as the pacing is pretty brisk.
