I am buddy reading this with Alex (hiii <3) for nostalgia and a laff, but unfortunately, this isn't that much to laugh at. It is capital B Bad and also very questionable and downright mean in many aspects. The villain ("Troy Boy") feels similar to the way a 13 year old on AO3 writes their most hated character in fanfic; in short: Cartoonishly evil.
The only saving grace so far is the long haired surfer bf.
