Okay, Eperitus, seriously. At MINIMUM you're 20. You've had 10 years of being the head of Odysseus' royal guards. You've DIED ONCE, which should give you some perspective on the whole thing. And your'e still in teenagery glory-in-battle-gotta-prove-myself mode. I'm sure this won't be an annoying character trait at all.

So having animals instantly love Paris but only showing it with female ones is already kind of uncomfortable with what's coming up and the whole swan connection Helen has. Then the book goes and directly, explicitly compares her to an animal. Basically Paris is finding new and exciting ways of being an awful person.
