It’s… Mindblowing what grown-ass men get away with. The way Mian’s father is described here, he could just as well have been 12. Instead hes an adult widower with a kid, wasting both of their lives by drinking too much and going on ”adventures”, such as stealing from their neighbors or sneaking in to events without paying for his family. Yeah, how very cool. Such manly man. Smh.

This book really makes me think therapy should be mandatory for everyone. Like… Fix your issues so you don’t ruin your kids. In the family of this book, there are so many things boiling under the surface, thinks you’re not allowed to question or even mention. And the ones who get caught in that destructive whirlpool are the children.

…Never before have I heard condoms being described as ”fishnets”. Makes sense, I guess?
