One day I’ll finish this book. But I can’t do it lately without falling into climate despair. I really like the book but yeah, heavy

I’ve not been listening to this one much lately. It’s not that it’s bad, it’s not overly dark or anything. I guess it’s depressing because it depicts a future that is already out of our reach. That even though a lot of bad things happen, there’s this optimism that we will persevere through it. A faith in things eventually getting better. I don’t have faith in that anymore.

Getting kinda nervous about where this is heading, I'm not sure about the direction. Can't tell if I just dont understand the topic well enough or if he doesn't though lol.

Loving this so far, but im kind of dreading whatever conclusion comes with this book. How do you end a book about biosphere collapse in a way that will feel satisfying? I really hope he nails it.

It's really enjoyable as an audiobook in particular, there's a decent cast of voice actors and they're all really good, audiobooks with casts are always real fun, so that was a nice treat.
