Not enjoying this rn, probably picked it up at the wrong time.

Too many characters, like what is even happening at this point. Lots of southern jargon? idk if jargon is the right word but its hard to understand at times or maybe I’m just stupid/can’t read between the lines. Good imagery so far — really like how the descriptions of the sickness give off a grotesque and rancid vibe. Definitely feeling a general sense of doom as well.
