WAH, adorable! Adorable. I want to give this five stars but I don't usually give five stars to "cute, fluffy, loveliness" type stories, and especially not short stories (I guess this would be a novella?), but this one held the tension and the conflict all the way through and damn. Just damn. Quivers in my sweet spot.

After reading several chapters in Bell's book on narrative conflict and suspense, I am wondering how this story keeps me so riveted despite being sweet and having mostly easily resolved conflict. I think it's the constantness of it all and the short length--I worry that Q's insecurity will f things up, or Damien and Clay, the two simply-drawn antagonists, will poison the well....

I am smiling the entire way through this ride.

I just had this visual of Josh and Quinn taking a holiday in Japan: imagine how jaw-dropping that couple would be--6' and 6' 7"--strolling around a tiny village in Japan, trying to fit into a small tea shop? Lol. My gawd, I want a story. Also, the "not unpleasant" feeling Josh has of finally looking UP at his partner? I know exactly what he means--I'm tall and it's not often I look up at men. I like it when I do. <3

WELL! Two chapters in and--woooweeee--do I love the narrator's self-depreciating voice and the fast-paced happenings! Talented planting of backstory as well. Okay! Time for bed, but damn, I'm glad I have a story to look forward to reading over breakfast!
