This was a DNF last time I tried reading it. So, here I go again because I'm in a different space. It has an intense start and a violent undertone as it is the beginning of the end for the Highlanders in history.

Darn it! I was hoping for a new-to-me author of the highlands. So far I'm disappointed. I know this is romance but these two need to stop undressing each other in their minds and focus on survival. They are fleeing for their lives. Clearly the author is in charge, not her characters.
