Hmm, iteresting, but veering a litle close to dry and exposition-heavy oldskool MG/YA - intelligent but still younger end of the age spectrum. Moving very slowly despite the obvious "hints" (green eyes are A Thing, I get it). I feel like something needs to happen for me to get invested in it

Struggling with this one. I want to know what's with the green eyes/telepathy/Welsh-sounding native people, but the constant info-dumps slow it down too much, and the MG style with themes of finding-place-within-the-family isn't doing it for me. I would have liked this A LOT when I was late tweens/early teens and would totally recommend it for others who like this kind of slow sci-fi family fiction
